The Los Angeles area is a great place for Japanese food. If the term only conjures up sushi, udon, bento boxes and tempura then you are definitely in for a treat. This place calls itself Tokyo Cuisine and a lot of emphasis is placed on spectacle for the dishes. The grilled marinated mackeral comes out to your table and is broiled right in front of you with a portable blow torch. Japanese rissotto is mixed on a large parmesian cheese wheel and there are a few grill at your table dishes that come with a little volcano-like grill. Everything I have had is delicious and the price is very nice. A nice selection of cold sake too. I liked the mackral, spicy tuna dip and the Anago rice dish.
